Some of you may be wondering why we are having Bernard Allison back as the Saturday headliner for the second year in a row.
Many festivals may consider repeating a headlining act to be some sort of taboo.
One of the great parts about this event is that I don't have to follow any rules.
You see, Bernard is like family to us here at the B.W.B.F., and has been for many years. In fact,
last year we honored him with our musician of the decade award. If you attended the 2010 event, you can see why it is a title that he very richly deserves.
This year we decided to just go ahead and give him the whole dang Saturday and let him bring whoever the heck he wants.
In other words, Eric Gales, Lance Lopez and Biscuit Miller are all blues powerhouses that were hand picked by B.A. himself.
Honestly, I have no idea how "B.A." day is going to shake out. One thing's for sure, this will be a once in a lifetime blues event that is going to be burned in your memories as one of the best blues shows you have ever seen in your life. Period.
